Social Media

It was amazing to me to watch the coverage yesterday of the Tsunami that fortunately did not reach the Hawaiian Islands. Wow, have times changed. In the past we would have to wait until after something happened to see the results. Yesterday, there was live SKYPE video, instant postings to social media and things that I am now familiar with and even understand how they did it. How fortunate we all are to be in the Interactive Technology phenomenon as it happens.

Another Monday

Well it's Monday again and where did that weekend go? Nothing going on so was able to do some reading for Dr. A's class and see where I am in my other classes. I feel pretty comfortable using the Dreamweaver software but it is imperative you add the Adobe Fireworks to the Dreamweaver package. It is a free trial 30 download which has made adding the pictures a smooth process. Until next time have a great day.

Works Tough

It's Thursday and I am busting it trying to complete our month end financial close. One person is recovering from surgery my team is not running on all cylinders. (Sounds like Jr. most of last year.) Classes are still going good at BAMA but believe me 12 hours is tough with a full time job but I keep telling myself it is not a long time to August. All the hard work will payoff for sure. I have really enjoyed learning Dreamweaver and designing my own website. Never thought I would ever do anything like that but with Doc's, Dr. A., and Dr. Mac's help and guidance I am well own my way. That's it for today.

JM

A week ago tonight I went to see John Mayer with my wife. Without question John is going thru some trying times but after reading the article he brought most of it on himself. I think that goes for everyday life too! Sometimes we say things only to realize we have hurt the one we love or a co-worker or a friend. I don't know if any of you are fans of JM but based on the lyrics of the Broken Studies album he is in a very deep and dark place today.

Great Weekend

I have obviously got behind on my daily postings. We kept our grandchildren Cooper and Savannah this past weekend which was just a joy. My life seems to stop when these 2 are around. I have posted a picture of them along with my daughter Stephanie and her husband Steve. Yesterday my son Todd came over and watched the Daytona 500 together something we would attend when he was younger and before he got married. I will post a picture of him and his wife Laura and my grand dog Allie. Taking 12 hours this semester is definitely a challenge but by doing this I will graduate in August of this year if I "take care of business". I am continuing my readings and research for my project on e-Learning in the classroom. I have found many different opinions but hopefully I will be able to express my opinion of this topic.

e-learning

Today is February 5th and I am continuing to read articles, books, and other material as I progress during the term. I am on track with the our time schedule but cannot afford to get behind. The issue of computers in the classroom has great arguments on both sides and is clouding the issue. It is my goal to determine with support why we need to expand e-learning.

National Champions

Class is going well so far. I have setup my wiki page and have linked my blog to that page and have changed it about 10 times. I think I have settled on one that is easy to read. Comments welcome. I guess you all can see I am a huge Bama football fan. I was lucky, no that is fortunate to be able to go to the National Championship and experience the game with son number #1 and son #2 (my son in law). I just wish every Alabama fan could have experienced that moment with us. That makes the 4th championship I have seem and 2nd with son #1(Todd). He was 8 years old when we beat Miami in "92.
